Have a asus kn8-sli, twin 7900gts with a x2 4400 and im thinking of putting in more memory.At the mo it has bog standard value pc3200 with 1024 of memory.Will upgradin to a performance set of 1gb or 2gb of matched ddr make much difference or since i wont be clocking it just add another gig of same make thats already in.

You've already got a great setup....2 gb definitely will help loading times and you won't have to swap after a level load but as for FPS you probably won't get anything significant...

i do use it for gaming which i forgot to mention, specialy bf2

Well BF2 is RAM hog...2gb definitely will help but it won't be anything drastic.

It was enough for me to upgrade from 1 to 2gb though.

so what would be the next step of upgrade..get a new motherboard which has ddr2 or bide my time and wait for ddr3.
