Hello guys i have a single ati radeon hd4850 512 in my computer at the monmet. I play lots of diffrent games dod:s gta4, world at war and crysis and other fps games.

I'm looking at crossfire with another 4850 512 but will i really notice a diffrence or am i better off sticking with what i have or maybe selling it and getting a better card?

Cheers in advance

With a lot of games now crossfire is supported but it does depend on what resolution you play your games if you game anything below 1680x1050 then i dont think it would be worth it as your card can handle most games atm playing on a lower res than that, but if you like your frames per second then yeah upgrade. Also with a x2 it will be able to play games with all high settings for a lot longer then your 4850 so a bit of future proofing;)

Would i notice much of a diffrence by upgrading it or will it be just a little jump?

Well, as above, going CrossFire would be a waste of £120 on another 4850. If you want a faster single card, there are quite a few options out there - it really depends how much you want to spend. Your screen resolution is also important at determining the right card for your system - for example, an Nvidia GTX295 would be totally wasted @ 1280x1024, but at 1920x1200 and above, it pumps out the pixels.

I normally play at 1680 x 1050. I have about £130 to spend plus whatever i can get for my 4850 if i sell it. Not sure what there going for second hand at the moment so would have thought about £200 ish.
