Is it worth me getting 2gb with this computer?

Well im doing a quick upgrade to play games like BF2 untill the DX10 cards come around and prices go down then im getting a new computer, but if i want to play BF2, BF2142, should i just save money by buying another 512mb stick and having 1gb? or just spend all my money on 2gb?

im planning on playing it at 1024x768 because thats all my monitor can take.

i currently have 512mb, but im buying a 7600GT plus this ram, mainly just wanna play BF2 and 2142.

yeah im gonna get a 1gb stick, but my computer only takes 2100 ram, and my current ram is only 133mhz, so buying a 1gb stick thats 2100ram but 266mhz, ive heard that that can sort of **** things up and they wont work.

so if i got a good make 512mb stick it would still be ok for 1gb?
