Is it worth upgrading my Ryzen 5 3600?

I would say wait for next years options personally.
The 3D cache versions are rumored for early next year which isnt too far away.

That said if you can get a 5600x at a bargain price, why not?

My POV is the same as above's whole post.

While the sale of your 5700xt could be very beneficial to you right now, as it will allow you to get close to the cost of a 6700xt, your PSU may be a concern, i don't recall what wattage your components are. But it may be worth a look at, the cost of a new CPU will lightly cost you higher £ per FPS than the GPU in the current market.

there is a large chunk of performance to be gained and the 6700xt is rocksolid and reliable

it will draw 175-220 watts while gaming

I keep looking at my CPU and RAM and thinking I can justify a change, but from what i've seen benchmark-wise it doesn't seem to justify the $$$s at 4k, not unless I can find a 5800 or higher for a bargain price.

That's not really his point. The "is it worth" aspect is basically no, as 4k the 3600 copes fine (which he already has). You will of course get the 'actuallllly' folk post that cpu upgrades will yield x% improvements but the nutshell is its just not worth the money.

It's like 5~10fps from what i've seen in most games which isn't worth it, sure the extra core/threads may help a little when streaming but thats not really worth it either.
