Is lack of trim function the only thing stopping ssds being used in server environments?

Ssd lifespan now seems sorted, and just as good as mechanicals drives, esp very high speed, expensive fast spinning server style drives.
The prices also seem well within reavh with 1tb drives for £400.
Am i right in sayin in a server 2008 environment, there is still no trim support in raid configuration?

Is this what is currently stopping hp and the likes offering ssd as part of their server environments, or is it other issues?

Yes but with changing data, how do you avoid the loss of useful space over time if raid style trim doesn't exist within the server environment?
Or does such functions exist now?
