you build up a tolerance to the insomnia it causes anyway, if you drank 3 bottles a day for a month you'd eventually be able to sleep normally. not that im recommending it :p

Cool :p

I always train with a couple of powerade. I can't stand lucozade.

Nowt wrong with a little caffeine though, it's a good stimulant when you don't overdo it.

Ant

I've drank at least a litre of irn bru almost every day for the last 10 years. I'm not dead yet, and I brush my teeth regularly so I don't see the problem.

Lucozade can't be any worse for you can it?

I'm not sure if this is 100% correct but I think Lucozade is one of the highest GI soft beverages on the market. It basically spikes your insulin levels for a short amount of time.

I may be talking complete rubbish.

Lucozade Hydro Active is the way forward.

Hydro active is pretty good TBH. Though I can't help but feel they're merely repackaging water and adding some salts. I just drink water at the gym, easy on the wallet.

Test have shown that you need to do a Ironman to justify drinking an energy, they give you no edge at all by just playing football or daily life.

I had a can the other day - it's sickly!! It's just sugary syrup, might as well just chew down a dozen sugar cubes.

The canned stuff isn't as nice as the bottled variety. I can always taste the can.

Dude, enjoy your lucozade. If we were to avoid every thing that was bad for ourselves then life would be pretty boring. Like the old saying goes, you could be hit by a bus tomorrow.

Have you had a blood test recently? Not wishing to be negative but I was diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic three years ago. I used to drink about a litre of various full fat soft drinks every day for years. Cutting those out was all I had to do to keep my blood sugar levels within normal levels, but if I had continued with them my sugar levels would continue to be too high and could result in loss of limbs and blindness amongst other things in extreme cases. I exhibited no symptomns and it was only through a routine blood test that my glucose intelorence emerged.

Re lucozade, the fact the NHS use it as the one guaranteed way to raise your sugar levels to a high point in preperation for a glucose intolerance test always kind of scares me a little.

What a load of BS
Some people will beleive anything they read! This view that aspartame is really bad for you is a load of rubbish started by a load of idiotic arm-chair scientists.
