Is morroco worth visiting (early November)

No way, you may get kidnapped by terrorists like them girls hiking in the woods a few years ago.

That's like saying tourists shouldn't come to the UK because Lee Rigby got murdered.

Terrorism is a rare occurrence in Morocco.

Lots more people have died in the UK in terror attacks, than Morocco, over the past 20 years.

(We were walking around Marrakech fine, just 2 weeks after this attack: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Marrakesh_bombing )

She still seems keen. So at least I can't be blamed if she doesn't like it. It will probably be fine it's not like the bum it's going to be on show or anything like that.

Morroco is quite spaced out. The North annoyingly seems more appealing than the south!

It's not me I'm concerned about. It's the gf.

I meat many tourists traveling couples and girls in groups they were really enjoying their time, I can't say nothing will happen but its generally its safe. I have seen Moroccan girls tend to get hassle from the men mostly cat calls and staring at them. As for dress code its mixed bag you get local girls dressed like here in England and girls that cover up.

I’m going at the end of November.
Few nights in Marrakech, and then 4 in Essaouira.
I was going to go to Taghazout (fly out of Agadir) but reckon it’ll be too cold in November for water activity so Essaouira won out. Agadir looks pretty depressing but if you want a resort you may enjoy.
Essaouira is a world heritage site or something so should be nice, plus the Atlas Mountains look pretty cool!
The Riads look great, if you’re into architecture then they should satisfy you.
I was looking into Essaouira a few years ago. Looks lovely.

Was quite a bohemian destination back in the day, so I understand.

They are well set up for bus travel. Supratours seems to be the best option, and I’ll be using them to get from Marrakech to Essaouira.
Trains seem more expensive and less often and take longer but some information in www.seat61.com/Morocco

Nice and very brave of you the drivers are bit crazy over their I found, where did you cycle?

Started in Marrakesh -> Tadmamt -> Oulad Berhill -> Irherm -> Tafraoute -> Agadir -> Immouzzer -> Essaouira. Most of the roads were quiet as it was mainly over the Atlas mountains

Wow sounds like a nice trip, I am tempted to take my mountain bike over next time I go over, I really need to explore the south more.

Drop me a trust message closer to the time to remind me. What’s your budget?
Will try and remember, thanks. I have no idea, twenty quid, whatever that is in the local currency?

I will buy a couple of Fezes? Fez's? Fez? Fezz?
Yay, I could end up with a couple if you both manage it :D

Fezzes/Fezi are great, very comfortable. I often wear mine at home around the house. Last summer, my wife dropped me off at a friends house and he laughed when I went in because I was still wearing my fez!

There are some fantastic trails in the Atlas mountains for mountain bikes, quite a few will supply bikes for the trip
