i have a fractal arc midi case, loaded it up with 3 of the default fractal 140mm fans on top, exhaust

2 140mm intake fans at front and 1 bottom http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-056-AK&tool=3 (are these fans powerful enough fro intake..or did i just cheap out and waste my money

and a random antec 120mm fan exhausting, the side panel mesh that can fit a 180/140 is empty and my case seem to be sucking air in from the side, is that normal?

4 exhausts, 3 intakes - so negative pressure inside the case and yes, you would expect air to be sucked in from the side. I think conventional wisdom says to have more fans blowing in than out, because it helps with dust issues.

Just out of interest, why 3 exhaust fans at the top? Is that because of a radiator in the roof?

Agreed. I would change the antec 120 to intake and move one of the top 140mm to the side as an intake (unless its a rad).. or add another 140mm intake to the side. I think that would work.

try this

if you have no side fan installed, just try blocking the gap. this will help airflow through the case
