is my computer dead? pls help

thanks for all the replies and help it was much appreciated.

i managed to fix the problem. it was cause i had tightened the h50 cooler to the cpu too tight and it had mislodged a couple of the cpu pins on the motherloard. i just straightened it out with my penknife and it worked.

anyways i shall probably keep the psu i purchased and use it for when i eventually upgrade to 480gtx or something.

again thx for all the help

That's just plain wrong :p Distance selling regs aren't there to let you "borrow" parts from a store for testing :p

But I never said that though...

Distance selling rules allow you to return items, for any reason, provided that they are in the same state as when sold.

If you read the entire post you'll see that the guy ordered the new PSU before running tests on his old one. If the tests show that his old PSU is working then he wont need to open the packing and can therefore return the new PSU via distance selling regs.
