Hello guys,
Ive been into PC's many years but have been a bit out of touch lately and I want to know whether its time for an upgrade or not.
I currently have an overclocked i5 3570k @ 4.7GHz on a Z77X-UD5H with 16GB Avexir DDR3-2666. I used it with a GTX 780Ti which was unlocked and heavily overclocked, but as it used to eject the heat of the sun I have since purchased a GTX 1070 and watercooled it and overclocked it as far as I can. But it seems that the GTX 1070 does not have any gains over my GTX 780Ti in terms of performance which was led me to believe that my CPU is the bottleneck. My PC is quick enough for most tasks so wrote off an upgrade until my friend upgraded his CPU and noticed a fair FPS bump on his old GFX card.
So, my question to you guys is will it make a difference and if so could you explain how/why, and is Intel or AMD the way forward?
Thanks for looking and appreciate any help
