So I keep getting these random resets (definately not my motherboard... Or RAM or PSU) this leaves only my cpu to fault. But to me... That seems rather strange? My BIOS is fine and everything is fine other than these resets I get and the false restarts that accompany thek. Any suggestions?

How do you know it is none of those? Personally I would check your timings and bios settings. And check the voltages on the PSU, they can, rarely, ship faulty.

Good luck

The RAM has ran fine for months. Tested 4 sticks of 4GB and it all has the same result. Motherboard OCUk sent back saying it works 100% fine and I hold them to it. Tried two PSU's and had the same result. And currently I'm using the iGPU so a GPU doesn't even come into the equation :/ my PSU has worked fine for quite some time as well and since I have tried two PSU's with the same result... :c Also my BIOS settings will NOT change from stock no matter what I do... they are set to XMP for RAM and my 4.5Ghz profile (remade 3 times) but I am at 1333mhz on RAM and 3.5Ghz processor speed with a voltage of 1.1~V

If u get no error codes no windows died messages probably a virus.

Mine was doing that last week. Did a full reinstall of windows and mines fixed now

just scanned with AVG no virus' whats so ever... so definately not that. and if it was a boot sector I'm 99% sure it wouldn't let me boot at all :p

It's definately seated properly (reseated several times) hm might have to look into causing a BSOD. need to figure out what it is I get the rest of my watercooling gear (minus 1 compression :/ tomorrow and really want to put my PC back together)

I'm having the same problem - same CPU and same circumstances. The pc just shuts off like there's been a power cut and comes back on a second or so later. The temps are fine, there are no POST beeps or anything. It was working fine since I built it about 10-12 weeks ago but this started today.

Not having much luck, are you. Have you tried different data and power cables? I assume the sata ports are working, seeing as OCUK have tested the board.

No mate I really am not having much luck at all. Unfortunately I only have the cable set Corsair supply w/ my PSU. I did try my older generic PSU for a test boot but it literally had the same result (didn't run the system with it wouldn't trust the thing) my mums friend has a multi meter Ill see if she can get him to test my PSU and make sure it is definately ok. :/ but other than that I am at a serious loss here!

hm. does it false start a lot before restarting properly?

Not really - from a cold start I sometimes have to hit the reset button but I hadn't really considered that. I've tried another PSU and it has seemed to get better (no resets in over 90 mins now) but I've had to disconnect so much (including my graphics card) that I'm not sure whether to risk buying another PSU tomorrow.

seems a bit extreme, tried a build outside the case? A short of some kind. USB, front panel, or even case. Then SATA cables maybe.

clutching at straws.
it's currently built outside the case mate :/ still have the problem. Get the problem with no SATA cables in at all as well. it's rather worrying if I'm honest. I've reseated my cooler so I know that isn't shorting anything.

Hm mine started with that then went onto false restarts if I restart it.

I've had similar problems which have been the result of one stick of RAM however it never shows up in tests.
