My fake RAID setup went degraded this morning when I booted my desktop. One of the drives wasn't detected so I shut down and tried a few tests.
1. Changed the SATA slot on the motherboard
2. Changed the power plug for the hard drive
Do you have any other suggestions to try before declaring my hard drive as dead? It's a bit annoying that out of 3 Seagate hard drives I've had, two have failed within a year of purchase.
