Ive always thought that i may have some sort of noise on my line, i notice that in games i stutter and lag a little bit, u may think this sounds stupid, but in all fps games with a radar, the arrows of the players on it stutter and move about jerkily, its been happening on old pc's and still on my new pc i built, also my brothers, you're probably thinking why i care about a little problem, but i think its singnaled by something wrong on my line. Also sometimes websites take a little longer to load, then u stop it and reload and it'll work. Ive tried changing MTU/Rwin, everything u can think of.

I connect through a Netgear DG834

Netgear DG834 stats

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7808 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 36 db 11 db
Noise Margin 4 db 22 db

Upstairs where the router plugs in, i have one of these.. adsl plugged in on the left, sky plugged in on the right. A cable comes out of this, goes outside, down the wall to the room directly below.

The wire feeds into a single BT phone box wired up inside, and a splitter connects a fax machine and second sky phone cable.

the black box is where the phone line comes into the house

The other 2 phonelines from the breakfast room and bedroom connect through this box afaik.

Should i have filters or anything? should i have a better faceplate that people talk about?

I had the engineer install back in '02
