no it isnt, 3rd screen says its in single, when it is in dual, double what you see in the the dram frequency and that will give you what its running at, i think the ram should be in A1 anbd B1, have a read of the mobo manual for which slotsa to put them in

Thought so.

The manual is misleading. As it says two different things.
Currently its in 'Channel A' which is A1 slot and A2 slot. 1 blue slot and 1 black slot.
However below that it says ' B* supports one pair of modules inserted into either the blue or black slots. I tried that in A1 and B1 and i got an error post message saying that memory was unganged i presume not working together?

Here is what i mean

Heres the new cpu-z screenshot. Its now listed as dual channel, but in unganged? what does that mean? It hasnt improved my windows experience score ( i know theres better benchmarks but surely that should have increased if iv changed from single to dual channel now?)

WEI is pretty useless from what I hear

Also I think you want to set an "XMP" profile in the BIOS to get the 1600Mhz, at the moment thats at 670Mhz x2 ~ 1333Mhz

Right so at least im in dual channel mode then? The motherboard manual is infact wrong then?

Yea id seen that. How do i go about getting the 1600mhz

Thanks

The bit where is said dual channel mode in either both blue or both black slots was correct. But I agree it was ambiguous.

I don't think your motherboard does XMP profiles, which would set the RAM up for you.

Go into the advanced tab in the BIOS, then "JumperFree Configuration"
Set the memory clock mode to manual, and the speed to 800Mhz. That should give you 1600Mhz. Just to be clear, I think this is correct but haven't ever used your motherboard and am only going by the manual. Page 2-10/11 if you want to have a look.

i'll have a go at that cheers
Do i need to increase the memory voltage? or is it fine where it is? i know the label on the ram said 1.65v

Thanks

My understanding is that most modern memory will run at 1.5V or so, but if its rated at that, just stick with the settings on the RAM if in doubt, as that is how its been tested.

Ok thanks mate

Heres the latest cpu-z screenshot. I have changed my clock speed on the ram to 800hmz.
Is this all right now then?
Im still unsure about the ganged vs unganged?

That looks better, you should be able to tighten the timings

Latency of 9-9-9-24 for maximum reliability and performance

Which I think is on the same set up page in the BIOS? Check the RAM again for the correct settings.

Not sure what the unganged thing is tbh. Mine is blanked out, but thats different RAM in a different motherboard!

Tightened up the timings on the bios now.
Does this all look ok now?
