Okay, so basically a member of my family pulled out the plug of my pc when it was still on. Today I turn it on and nothing shows up on the screen. I turned it off and after a few tries I managed to get this on the screen (below) Is my pc dead? Thanks. If it is... Sandybridge here I come! :D

Could be a knackered graphics card. If you have onboard graphics or a spare card that would be worth trying as a first troubleshooting step.

On the other hand if this is a good excuse to get a new PC then it's definitely dead :D

The equivalent of a power failure is not that likely to kill your PC. If a hard disk is writing at the time you can sometimes get file system corruption or disk damage but it's still not that common.

Have you checked the monitor cable is secure and when you boot what happens exactly? Are there any BIOS beeps, can you hear the hard drive as if it's booting Windows etc?

use a spare gpu to tes, but if that dont work just go sstraight for the sandy bridge, But dont they still have the sata 3gbps problem?
