My PSU has recently developed a very high pitched whistling, whining noise, and occasionally it takes 4 or 5 attempts to turn the PC on, sometimes having to resort to unplugging it from the mains for a minute! It's also started to switch itself back on about 15 seconds after I turn it off!
The PSU's an Antec 450w from a Sonata II case, and is approximately 18 months old. Specs here - http://www.antec.com/specs/SP450_spe_eu.html
Currently powering the following :-
Athlon 64 X2 4200+ @ 2400mhz
4 X 512mb PC3200 DDR
7600GT PCI-E
1 80gb IDE HDD
1 80gb SATA HDD
1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
1 DVD-RW
USB mouse, keyboard, steering wheel, card reader, etc
If it is broken, and I can't get it RMA'd as I bought it S/H and don't have the receipt, what should I replace it with? Not really looking to spend too much over £50.
