alright guys,
got my comp all nicely formatted and such, but i'm noticing sometimes my comp seems slow and unresponsive, not sure what's causing it. Example :
I right click on a file in a folder in my computer and the hard drive makes a lot of noise for about 5 seconds before it brings up the option menu. I click control panel and it takes about 5 seconds to come up again making a lot of noise. I try to load up firefox and agan the drive makes a lot of noise and then takes a long time to load!
I'm thinking it's either something to do with the following :
a) my raptor is dieing a slow and painful death and needs replacing/repairing.
b) my overclock on my x2 3800+ to 2.4ghz is playing tricks on my computer.
c) could be slow because I didn't install the Nvidia IDE controllers, but because of all the issues i've been having before now with BSOD's and such even at stock cpu speeds I decided against installing them for now.
d) could be my mobo is a bit borked, it's never really sat happily and stable like I want it to, and I get some strange things hapenning like earlier on my screensaver came on EVEN THOUGH I WAS USING THE COMP
and occasionally the comp goes into standby even though i'm using it and have it set to never go into standby and power is set to always on. mobo is updated to the 1010 bios atm (a8n-e ultra).
What you guys reckon?
