I have just updated the firmware and done the intel ssd tool kit stuff and it seems a bit slow. Do I need a new ssd.

What SSD is it? Have you plugged it into a Sata 3 6Gb/s port (if it supports Sata 6Gb/s.) Have you enabled AHCI before installing windows?

Thanks. Yes I saw that and I think I have been running it for 2 years in ide. I am now in the process of trying to change it to ahci.

edit: it is an intel x25 160gb

Just done a new test after changing to ahci, seems to have turned German though.

It looks a bit better but should I order a new drive. I have all rady ordered a sandisk 240gb coming on wednesday should I get another boot drive.

Sprache = Language ... just check the second pic against the first

If your happy with day to day speeds..... why change it?
