Is my system good enough for a 2407WFP?

Well, i've just taken delivery of my 2407WFP (once city link finally decided to turn up), and all i can say is wow! Stunning!

I'm getting mine on my bday (15th June) will wait till next week before ordering though, see if anything develops with all the other 24's that we hear are due to be released..

i've got a 2407 running off an OLD 9600XT and i can play C&C3 at 1920*1200 all be it with low texture details etc.

Well, my 8800gts seems to run everything i've tried so far at 1920x1200 without any problems. Even oblivion at high settings runs very well.

Well - I just found out my 8800GTS is delayed. After experimenting with Oblivion I find playing at a lower resolution preferable to reducing much of the the eye candy.

I know people say play at the native resolution but even down at 1280x800 Oblivion looks lovely on this monitor. Mind you running a game like HL2 on full details at 1920x1200 is just beautiful!

I've just had HL2 cranked up to the max with 16xAA / 16xAF and it did indeed look glorious at 1920x1200 on the 2407WFP! Will be playing though it again now

GTS should be perfect

- mine is just about ok with a X1900XT - until 4xAA +

I've tried out a wide range of games now and the only one that seems a little bit laggy is colin mcrae dirt demo. Even stalker maxed out is super smooth.

One slightly annoying thing i have noticed though, is the monitor does not sit 100% level on it's stand. The right hand side is slightly lower than the left. No big deal i guess.

there is a way to fix this. Something to do with the screws on the back. Google it and you should find the answer

yup I had the same problem - it is fixable - bit of a faff though !

was driving me mad for a couple of days I can tell you.

get the fakefactory high res texture pack aswell

yeh i wd like to know how to fix this as well as my monitor's right side is lower than the left as well.
