I just got my 8800GT, and I installed nTUNE, so I could overclock it.

Now in the options it will allow me to even overclock my cpu. Is this a goop program, or is it dangerous for your cpu.

I have a E6600 on a Asus P5N-E SLI NF650i SLi mobo with an arctic cooler pro7

can I use this program to get my cpu to 3 ghz?

I would use either AtiTool or better yet Rivatuner. Not really had any experience with nTune.

I would never use a program in Windows to overclock your CPU though. Always use the BIOS.

For my GPU I now use Expertool, after Riva not working on the 169 drivers. Cant see the point now in going back.

I use ntune to control my Zalman cooler sat on my 7900 and ATItools for the overclock.

Always use the bios for other overclocks, especially your CPU.
