Is October the month of misery?

Shorter days.
Waking up in the dark.
Lack of sunlight.

That's what I find depressing about October too, not looking forward to the last weekend when DST ends. Still, it hasn't been as bad this year because of the warm weather, another "heatwave" has been predicted for the weekend :)

Isn't the most depressing day of the year early, or mid, January? Everyone's gone back to work, getting credit card bills from Christmas, generally nothing to look forward to, etc... good times!

This! My birthday's January 12th and it's ****ing RUBBISH. so much so that instead of having a night out a week or 2 after Christmas/new years when everyone's skint and irritable I have my "birthday" in February after the first payday.

I'm quite happy around this time of year end o the month haloween an excuse to dress up like a *** and get ****faced. then Fireworks night an excuse to get drunk and blow **** up! then XMAS an excuse to get ****ered with the family and eat until you can't eat no more plus there's always the miniscule chance that it'll snow which just cheers me up generally!

Uni started again, realised there was loads more things I should have done during the holidays..... on a brighter note. Bf3 soon!

Has been pretty miserable for me, but that is primarily due to a 7mm kidney stone, roll on November when they zap the thing!

shorter days which for some reason makes people feel a bit miserable.

This for sure.. One month it's getting dark at a reasonable time, the next it's noticeable that it's getting darker when you have dinner. Then in a few weeks time it slammed in your face.. dark at 5pm.. Not great really.

I have this running joke in my family that every night.. I say 6:32 [example]and it's nearly dark tut tut... Drives them nuts!!
