Is overclocking relevant?
1:Yes, its important to run my PC as fast as I can.
2:No, Noise ,heat and energy saving is more important.
3:A *balance* of the above to suit my personal needs
What's the H50 hate eh?
4: Best value for money, as much speed as possible for as cheap as possible, don't waste money on expensive mainboards or ram or silly water cooling for example but the best bang for buck overclock.
Aside from on laptops or htpc's, I really don't understand answer 2. I mean ''energy saving'' ? Come on... You're rich enough to pay your elec bill, don't be a cheapskate or hippy... The last thing in the world I will be saving on will be energy, as it is now, I want as much power as possible, an as big screen as possible, the biggest loudest speakers, the fastest cpu for the cash regardless of the heat the thing emits or the power it eats, hell, even with other things: An as large car as I can afford with an as powerful engine as possible.
I CAN understand wanting silence though, but energy saving? No.
most important is component lifespan, i dont want to replace my gear too often, it's expensive.
