I ordered a bottle from parkerswhisky a month ago now and have not recieved anything yet.
I'v emailled and phoned several times over the past couple of weeks and every time i was told it will arrive in the next couple of days.

The site looks legit and i'v seen it mentioned a few times in the whisky thread, so i assumed it was fine.
Has anyone else had problems with that site?

Update: still not received anything, dont have much hope of getting the bottle anymore, so i'm just going to try and get my money back.

My bank cant help (dont have a credit card so i paid with my debit card).
Do i have any options other than small claims court?

Visa debit has basicaly same protection. Can't remember exact ins and outs. Sure google will tell you more.

So in other words if it is a visa card which most are these days, your bank is fobbing you off.

You can also have a right to ask your bank to make a chargeback, returning your money if you do not receive goods or services as expected, if goods are lost or the wrong goods are received. That covers pretty much anything you can think of, from an airline going bust to a mail order jumper that does not arrive. Most purchases made abroad are also covered

Just cos your bank cant (wont) help, doesnt mean Visa / Mastercard wont.

<<helpful advice>>

Thanks Guys!

Thought i'd update this thread, for 2 reasons:

1- Bump it to the top again so that nobody else buy from the site
2- Explain my experiences with the visa chargeback scheme

I had to phone the bank a couple of times before i found somebody who knew how the chargeback scheme worked and could put me through to the correct department.
Once i got through, opening a case was quite easy, i explained on the phone what happened and they sent out a form for me to fill in and sign.
Posted the form off and didnt hear anything for a few weeks, so i called them and apparently they never received it. So i was sent out another form and told to take it into my local branch and they could fax it, which would be quicker than posting.
They dont make it easy: i filled in the form and took it into the branch, and left again when nobody in the bank knew anything about the chargeback department.
So this time i posted the form recorded delivery.

After they got the second form, i did get my money back very quickly tho.

I dont know if it's because the chargeback scheme for debit cards is a new thing or if it's just not used a lot, but nobody seems to know much about it (including my bank ) which is why i have written this.

Great outcome. It's not new. Just massively unused. Neither employees or public know about it. Hopefully the message is getting out. It gas had some media attention.

Glad I had a read of this read as I never knew that a chargeback scheme existed on Debit cards. Good to know.
