Is politics allowed in GD?

What a nice charade this Dannie Hannah has displayed. He is going after the "fall man." Bush was a fall man, Obama will be the fall man and Gordon Brown is a fall man. The NWO elites are very clever, they blame all of the evil they've done to us onto just one fall man at a time. What they should be talking about is hanging everyone at the Federal Reserve and in turn every parasite at the IMF. Oh, when will these stupid sheep learn?

I can't watch it from work, what happens in the video?

The MEP calls Brown a failure which Brown resents.

The Speaker of the EU parliament then shouts ORDER ...... bang bang ORDER before saying ....... Prime Minister Brown or MEP Hannan. Who will win ....

omg pmsl :D

I can only wish harry enfield sees that video

I really feel sorry for brown though - he came into the recession when it was already too late to do anything as prime minister.

But he needs to go. And not having a general election when he wasnt even voted in? Should be illegal :p

I agree totally with this. They need to change the law so that if the situation arises, where a prime minister was NOT the leader of their party at the election comes into power they can only serve for a set term before a general election is called. A year should be sufficient.

When a general election is fought all parties HAVE to designate a leader and a deputy who would take over if the leader dies or is somehow got rid of. Then the electorate would know exactly who they are giving power to.

Brown is making choices that severely effect this country and he was NOT elected by anyone is this country with a mandate to do so. He has a seat in parliament which is fine, for him to represent his consituancy.

Being prime minister is away and above the trust he was embued with at the election, the system STINKS and the reason they wont change it is because it suits the politicians.

The problem of course is that like his esteemed party leader, I see no solutions. Gordon Brown is an easy target given his current position.

Having said that, what he did say was right on the money. Very well done.

its alright attacking brown, and you lot saying "get this guy in" but all i can see is that he has just stated facts is an eloquent way, there are no solutions its just a pure attack.

Stop buying into charades like this, go for a guy that can actually get results.

though brown is a ****. :/

Dont forget that Brown was Chancellor for 10 years before being PM. He has a lot of responsibility to bear for the crippling debt that the country is in.

He sold off a chunk of gold bullion at rock bottome rate for a start.

not denying brown is a complete tit, but i just dont get the "get this guy in westminster" comments, he hasnt helped, it was just an attack on an already wounded animal :/

Whislt I agree that there seems to be few other solutions being suggested, I think the point is more focused on what Brown should not have done, vat cut, huge increase in public sector paper pushers etc.

Yes go for a guy/party who can get results, problem is who can?

What we can safely assume is that anybody could do a better job than the imbeciles at labour...

Speaking for myself, it was nice to see someone who spoke faultlessly with elegence and vigour. Due to his attack on Brown, I am lead to believe that he shares similar beliefs to me and therefore I would like to see him/people like him in Westminster.

You vote for a party, not for a PM. Brown was voted in by the party elected by the public.

All perfectly legitimate.

Legally it may be perfectly legitimate, but morally its totally wrong. would you be happy if tony blair had decided to appoint osama bin laden as the new pm? no.

The leader of the party is more than just the voice of the party. He/she makes the defining choices that we all have to live with. And electing someone that was in an already powerful position for an long period of time to an even more powerful position for an even longer period of time is just asking for trouble especially when all we know he could be a right 2 faced git.

It is the Queen that appoints the PM, which is by tradition the leader of the party with the most seats. Osama Bin Laden couldn't be PM because you need to be an MP and he isn't eligble to stand as one.

That isn't really the case with the UK system as the PM doesn't wield executive power and decisions are meant to be made at cabinet level. The PM cannot personally make any laws they still need to go through Parliament. Gordon Brown was elected just as much, or just as little, as every single modern Prime Minister. We only ever elect our local MP, the only people that get to elect the Prime Minister are those in his constituency.

I do admit it would be quite funny to see a party get elected yet the party leader lose his seat, but it is unlikely to happen.
