• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Is software and support a big part of your decision when choosing a card?

I think it goes without saying that I can only speak for myself.

AMD users get the short end of the stick in most cases. Nvidia users just feel more accounted for. Even games that are AMD optimized still run well on Nvidia. I've never visited the Nvidia Forum because I haven't felt the need to yet because most things just work.

Which this is not doing, because things are not working out for you with AMD and you have not played the numerous games that dont run so well on NV cards you assumed that must be the case for games and users in general, anyway lets move on.

Have to go with nvidia because of cuda. Unfortunately it seems to appeal to developers much more than opencl.
