Hey guys,

Just to give you an idea of the specs currently being run:

I7 920 @ 4GHZ
6GB DDR3 9-9-9-24
OCZ VERTEX 3 SSD'S
ATI 7950 X2 in Crossfire

I noticed today while running FurMark (was checking GPU temps under full load) that my GPU usage fluctuates on both cards and does not stay at a solid 100%, is this normal or is something wrong?

I have uploaded a video of what happens so you can see it for your self, please ignore the stuttering of the doughnut thingy it looks fine to me but goes all weird when recorded using FRAPS, just look at the GPU usage at the top.

FRAPS VIDEO HERE UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE *edit: Just noticed the video is very blurry so the numbers are hard to see but both GPU'S are fluctuating between 20-100% intermittently

Thanks for the help.

Im on it...will report in once I have done that.

I have swapped the crossfire bridge ends which has made no difference as far as Furmark goes.

As suggested I have tested using Kombustor and I am still having the same issue well kind of... strangely after about 1 minute both cards are staying between 99 - 100%.

Edit* Just tested with Furmark again, after a brief "warming up period" both cards stay between 97 - 100%.
Edit 2* Just tested Kombustor again and second GPU occasionally drops to 89% usage then back up to 99-100%

Any thoughts?

Stop using rubbish synthetic benchmarks and try some games? Those two programs really should be discontinued

Well actually I play plenty of games and I have not really noticed any issues.

I am curious as I had not spotted this until now. I am wondering that if something is wrong I could potentially have better performance than what I am able to achieve now.
