When i play Pro evolution soccer 2010 there seems to be a black circle around the ball when it is high up in the air. And i am not sure if this is normal but when i play cod 5 and throw grenades sometimes there is a white trail behind the nade when it is throw high in the air, i have also seen a tint of yellow sometimes aswell. my monitor claims to not ghost.

Could be your gpu giving some problem's.

What are the temps like when gaming, also running latest drivers.

I have a 9500gt and its passive cooled. Im not getting artifacting, just when something is at the top of my screen there seems to be odd colours and stuff. i am running the latest drivers. I have tried it oced and i have tried it whichout being oced same thing its very strange. Im hoping its just my graphics card. My 4870x2 is back from repair next week.

I dont know anybody, like i said im just hoping its the gpu or something. Its not like its a huge problem because its not on the desktop its all fine just in games. I had my 4870x2 briefly and played some cod 5 and didnt notice the odd whiteline behind the nade when they were threw.

Ive explained it wrong. When i throw a nade on cod 5 there is a white outer layer around the nade like a shadow but white.

Never trust marketing.

So grenade is darkish and sky is something like "middle" grey?
Inverse ghosting is sign of too strong response time compensation for trying to make those slow liquid crystals seem like they wouldn't be slow.
That's why I'll keep telling that research of LCD panels should be scrapped and that money used for getting OLED and SED displays into production. Backlighted LCDs are just severely disabled tech in so many ways.

No the nade is normal and all colours are fine its just when the nade is in the air sometimes a white shadow is around it. I never noticed this with my 4870 x2. I have read a lot reviews on my BENQ G2420HD and no one has mentioned this.

I dont see any when i am moving very quickly in fps. So much for this monitor not ghosting. do all LCD monitors ghost? Does the catalyst drivers have options to help with ghosting on LCD monitors? this 9500gt doesnt seem to have many options.

I have now just noticed something. I have the clock gadget in the right hand side of my screen i am using W7. on the inside of the clock there appears to be yellow tint. if stand and look over the monitor the tint disappears but when i am sitting down and looking up at the screen its there?

This may be driver issues if you're using your 9500 while there are still ATI drivers installed on the machine.

Sometimes drivers can conflict with each other, especially if the card is in the same slot as your ATI card. Leave it till you get your decent card back, make sure you totally uninstall the nvidia card before you put the ATI back in.

**edit**
This is viewing angles! You should be sat so that your eyes are about level with the top of the monitor (or so they say) and have it angled ever so slightly up, so its facing you dead on. Give that a try

No i reformated to W7 so drivers are not the issue. my pc chair is reli poor its old and does not go up much, maybe its viewing angles that are causing the weird colours after all then.

Since i fiddle with some options in the control panel changing colour mode to RGB its help and looking over the monitor helps, still get a faint white shadow around nades or coming off the nades when i throw then in maps with sun. I didnt notice this on making day on single player its a night map.
