its gone to 48 then 49 now it’s saying 50, so very slowly creeping and the cpu sitting around 42 now 43 for the moment I’m just in the bios watching it.
My case is open, the psu is resting on top of the case with fan facing up, so only the cpu fan is going, no case fans installed.
I’ve been getting a lot of shutdowns of kernel 41 the last few days, so I’ve tested ram and ram slots, tested different ram and power supply, I don’t even have a dedicated gpu card and I’ve just reapplied the thermal paste, do have the odd mm blodges in the heatsink from a previous wipe, but I only apply a a small-medium blogger in the centre of the cpu, I’ve stopped spreading it ages ago, usually fine, so I’m just wondering if something might be getting a bit hot?
In fact by the time I finished typing this the temps were the same, but the system completely shut dowm, so I’m still at a loss and because it’s 1st gen it’s difficult to get a cpu to test or another itx board, so trying to eliminate possible causes.
