Is that it for X99 boards then?

Any news on new Micro ATX X99 boards? With the exception of ASRock, the current boards all have flawed M.2 implementations.

Flawed in what way? Could you expand as I am currently trying to decide which board to buy with a view to running an M2 drive for my OS.

Um, don't think so. There's enough PCI-E lanes to go around, even if you use the 5820K. Don't know in what other way there could be a "flaw".
The flaw is the board isn't going to make good use of the lanes. The ASUS and Gigabyte are limited to M.2 x2 speeds. The EVGA will run at x4 but in doing so disables the last PCI slot. The ASRock boards are the only MATX with x4 and functioning PCI slots. I'm hoping we might might get some revised boards to offer a little more choice.
