Is the Icybox IB-282UOT compatible with a sata hdd?

Hi,

Might be a bit of a stupid question, but was wondering whether the old hdd from the macbook is compatible with that icybox IB-282UOT on the OCUK store.

That caddy will only take 2.5" IDE drives with the 44 pin combined power and data connector. If your existing HDD is SATA then it won't fit.

There are 2.5" SATA caddies about but OCUK don't stock any.

I stuck my old MacBook drive in a USB2 caddy (no mains power needed) and it works fine, and still bootable. Cost about £10.00.
