is the iPod touch the only choice?

I'm after an MP3 upto £150, the only thing I can see is the iPod Touch.

How's the battery on these things? I won't be using it all day long for music, probably only about an hour or so.

Is the 4th gen the latest one? Is there a new one to be expected soon?

If you want one for audio quality get a Cowon around that price (or a Colorfly), if you want useability get an iPod touch.

The 5th generation is the latest one. It was out a couple of weeks ago.

What about the nano? Under 150 quid, plays mp3s and is also a radio. In fact for what you want you could even look at the previous generation one in the apple refurb store

The ipod touch also does apps, email, web sites etc. Depends if you need all that. If not, I'd go nano.
