Is the truth allowed on here?

I don't get why this document has come out now

I think we all can sumise the reasons for the Hillsborough Tragedy from poor Policing, Stewarding and ticketing through to all of the horrible events during and after it.

I don't think any single 'group' is to blame, the H'borough disaster was to put it simply a failure of several parts that resulted in the absolutely tragic loss of 96 innocent lives.

I had friends and family at the game, in the crush and it's something that is still talked about at H'borough today. The minutes silence still brings tears to people's eyes, there were local fans, as well as fans from either club there that day, the scars for everyone involved run deep.

I find it basically disgusting that for whatever reason the person that created this thread did so with the intention of attempting to put the blame on innocent fans. I hold no sole group responsible, it was a failure by many different aspects, not one individually.

I have absolutely no problem discussing anything football related, regardless of my personal view, I find it easy to approach situations from a level headed and open mind, this thread wasn't intended for anything other then baiting Liverpool fans and insulting and causing offence. Horrible.

In fact, I'll go further then that. The thread was made to bait and insult Liverpool fans, but you've done much more then just that. You've insulted anyone who had anything to do with H'borough.

Football, is ~like a religion (even though I hate that comparison) and things like this bring fans of all clubs together, it's tragic and awful and you've successfully offended many more people then just Liverpool fans.

I'm not sure it's that. This isn't the first time he's brought this up and iinm, he was suspended before for this. He's got a chip on his shoulder and ignores all evidence against his argument and genuinely believes the rubbish he's coming out with.

Why would he create the thread if not to antagonise L'pool fans?

If he does believe this, he can make that point without so vehemently mentioning Liverpool. He's done it previously to much the same degree.

You can argue and debate a point without that underlying tone.

He's a nasty bit of work and it would be better if his access to the forum was just removed.

The total over reaction to this letter is staggering, it was written a matter of days after the incident before any of the details had come to light and I'm sure like me 99% of the people who witnessed Hillsborough from a far initially attributed a large amount of blame to the fans. It was natural instinct back then football fans equalled trouble they were smashing up city centres, service stations and trains up and down the country. So for an officer who had no involvement in the disaster to make this assumption initially is hardly a great surprise. The only thing he said which is really controversial is that he was concerned about Anfield being turned into a shrine.

Sadly for a small group of people this incident will never be closed their loss has cut to deep and I doubt they will ever find the 'closure' they continue to seek. The Hillsborough documents will be released and poured over with te benefit of 20:20 hindsight and people will point fingers and make accusations.

I think we pretty much know what happened on that day now and who was responsible poring over the facts again and again does nobody any good but then I didn't loose a son or daughter and I hope I will never Know the grief and desperation that drives people to these lengths.
