Hey All

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
E6600
2gb OCZ PC2-9200 DDR1150 Reaper
Arctic Freezer 7

Heres my current OC all on Auto volts :)

9x345=3105 @39c load Orthos 6hrs plus stable.

Memory running at 575mhz (1150ddr) on a 3:5 divider. CPU-z report the ram as running at

5
8
8
26.

It should be

5
5
5
18

Shouldn't it? Is there a better divider?

Am I going wrong and is there a better way of running this OC to ensure maximum thruput and bandwidth?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

Hit Ctrl and F1 together on the main BIOS screen to unlock the memory timings in the main overclocking section.

Then change the first four timings to 5, 5, 5 and 18 respectively.

make sure to set the correct memory overvoltage.

Thanks for replying

Do I need to set over-voltage and if so by how much? Are you thinking I may need to add a drop more juice to be stable at those tighter timings or does manually setting those speeds require that I define the Ram voltage, as opposed to it being on Auto?

Cheers!

The PC-9200 Reaper is down as needing 2.3v to run at it's stock 1150mhz 5-5-5-18. So you need to set the memory overvoltage to +0.5 to get it to run at those settings.

Thanks again! :D

I just set the RAM to 5-5-5-18 without adjusting the voltage and ran Orthos for an hour just fine. Will leave it on a longer stress test later.

Just thinking out loud now, remembering my good old AMD 2500xp days, wouldn't I be better to try and drop the multiplier, say to 1:1 and seek out the FSB maximum for my cpu, then readjust the divider to bring the RAM up to full speed?

Therein lies the magic question. What is the average CPU FSB on a Conroe e6600
B" stepping and whats the best CPU voltage to start at? 1.4??

Cheers again for helping :)
