is there a big difference between these hard drives?

The 2TB Barracuda should be faster than the Blue as it spins at 7200RPM rather than 5400.
The 3TB Barracuda might be faster than the Blue as it has four times the cache.
But then you have to consider Seagate current perceived reliability record. I suggest researching the drives on other web sites that have a large number of reviews to see what's good and what's not.

wah i have heard about the seagate issue but I thought it was a different older model.
 
I don't think he means these Seagate models in particular; more that Seagate drives in general are seen to be more unreliable. Even if they have some models are reliable; you know what they say about mud sticking. :p
