is there a program that can swap image/video from main screen to 2nd monitor, ive tried ultramon but it doesnt seem to work.
are there any others that can do this, i basiclly want to play game on big tv which is 2nd monitor but game plays on main monitor as default.

Cant you just set the TV as Monitor 1 and the Monitor as Monitor 2 and move the taskbar to monitor 2?

You need to change what Windows percieves as your primary monitor. Do this in display settings.

ok set t.v as primary and then drag task bar to monitor, but how do i stop everything opening on the t.v? if i open I.E or mail or music or any application it defaults to t.v!
which is kinda what its set to now but all i want is my games to open there not everything else !!!

So you want games and general windows on PC screen and videos on TV screen?

Don't use WMP for a start as maximising in that often throws it back to the main screen.

I used to use 3rd party players and have video on one when playing a game on the other. The same idea as you are trying to do.

for being pain in the butt
i think i will just have to put up with using the monitor as defualt for games and just swap screens via CCC.
as not all games i want to open on big t.v screen, only games i use controller i.e tomb raider and racing.

ultramon has feature to swap but each time i used it it displayed paused image and not the actual game.

guess its time to buy 22" monitor

and build media pc for all my film watching.

Had a look at this myself only had one game to try and you can select which monitor from the game launcher:

#0 is my monitor & #1 is my plasma - Not sure on other games though.

UltraMon has an addon that allows you to set a screen saver just for the plasma / LCD TV.

Command-line options
====================

ScrPlayer.exe "<screensaver>" [<monitor>]

<screensaver> is the full path and file name of the screen saver you want to run. <monitor> is optional: it is the number of the monitor you want to run the screen saver on, in fullscreen mode.

Example: ScrPlayer.exe "C:\Windows\system32\ssbezier.scr" 2

So is it not possible to add a similar command line to other shortcuts for Games / PowerDVD etc ????????

Had another play seems UltraMon can do it:

Just create a shortcut to Game / Program and select from shortcut properties as pic:

Note some programs will open on Primary monitor for a few seconds before ultraMon kicks in and switches it over to the 2nd Display.

Im using the full version but would have thought it would be available in the trial.

Handy to avoid screenburn Image retention on a plasma as it allows you to continue using one display while the other has a screen saver running.
