Is there a safe way to remove scratches from glass phone screens?

I've managed to get a small scratch on my iPhone XS and my other half has scratched her P30. Reading around the only solution seems to be Cerium Oxide solution, but some people have said the downside is that it takes off the oleophobic coating.

So I'm basically asking if anyone has had any success in getting rid of such scratches, using that or anything else?

The words peeing and into the wind to mind. Scratches happen and will continue to happen.
If you're so inclined the only thing I could suggest is buy a screen protector and move on.

I’d like to try and repair the scratches if I can. You can repair all sorts of scratches on other products so I’m guessing there’s a method that works? Maybe not though.

to remove a scratch you need to remove the material around it by polishing until it is all leve. problem is glass is very hard . gorilla glass and similar even more so

you might improve the look of the scratch by taking off the edges but i imagine it will be difficult to remove

and without the olephobic coating it's not only a fingerprint magnet it also feels horrible (speaking as someone who wiped the coating off one of my Note 4s with constant use of alcohol wipes).

You can occasionally find a screen protector that claims it has an oleophobic coating. In 99.9% of cases the seller is lying.

I see the problem. Has anyone had success of superficially getting rid of scratches by putting a screen protector on after the event? I’m thinking the small amount of adhesive by fill it in?

My Omoton screen protector definitely seems to be oleophobic. I had one on for 14 months, and that was a fingerprint magnet by that stage, but the new one I put on last month is back to proper performance. I guess the coating is of limited life.

This will work if it's really a tiny scratch and you learn to not look for it as there will still be the ability to find it if you hold it in some odd angle reflecting the sun in a way you'd never do.

I think this is your best bet as it will also protect from future scratches and one day the protector will have so many scratches that you'll remove it to go back down to just the one tiny hair line scratch you can hardly see.

My white stone dome protector has totally hidden the scratch on my OnePlus 7pro.

I think the liquid glue filled it nicely.

Worth a go! Especially to protect you from future scratches.
