Is there a way of moving my steam folder to a different partition?

I'm running out of space on my c:\ and it's because i accidentally installed steam there, instead of on my gaming patition. Is there a way to move the apps to my gaming partition without having to completely redownload/install them?

Steam is not picky where it is installed or moved about to. So just move the main steam install folder to wherever you want. Then just log into steam as normal. The files will be verified and off you go.

Note:- don't forget to update the shortcuts on your desktop. Also when reinstalling say xp you don't need to redownload all of your games, just copy the steam folder.
