Is there a way to totally disable powerplay? It's causing me much headache. For example in league of legends it seems to switch clock speeds to 2d if I bring a tool tip up and that causes the screen to flicker which is really annoying.

Never mind I got it to work editing the profile xml. wasn't working earlier.

MSI afterburner, set 2d speed profiles and 3d speed profiles to same speed, CCC, save a new profile, go and edit the config file users>username>appdata>local>ati>ace>profiles ...

and set the same speeds across the 3 speeds you'll see in the profile easily. Save two profiles and keep one as normal, one as all higher 3d speeds(there are voltage/mem/cpu speed options, just use the settings from the 3rd profile for all the speeds).

The easiest, but most short term is download gpu clock tool, whatever speed you set in that will disable powerplay and stick to the speed you set, gpuclocktool will revert to default CCC settings every reboot.
