Is there any relation between eye colour and how well you can see?

Why does everyone seem to think that 20/20 represents perfect vision?

Wearing glasses my eyesight is better than 20/20 but I still have friends with far better vision than me.

Exactly, so many people love telling you they have great vision by claiming 20/20 - Infact they are just average

20/20 means that from 20ft you can see what the average person sees from 20 feet.

What you want is 20/10 vision. Now thats hawk eye

Then hopefully you will understand I chose to type as I did due to the fact that I was being lazy, not that I can't spell. Just a shame that you had to do it in such a sarcastic manner, but whatever floats your boat I guess

I wasn't commenting on your spelling, I was talking about your definition of 1 in 300 being unique. There's no need to take offence.

Well, if eye colour have something to do with eyesight (and I don't think anyone actually run any conclusive tests on the subject) then it's worth noting eye colour changing laser surgery is in experimental stages at the moment, so without a doubt within the next decade or so we'll all be able to change our eye colour to whatever catches our fancy.

My eyes are different colors right is really dark brown left is green/brown also my right iris is always bigger than the left o_O

as far as i know i have better than average vision all tho i have never had my eyes tested. no reason to really

Hello :)

As far as I know (or as far as I've studied) There is not link between how well you can see and eye colour.

Eye colour is a trait that is predominately determined by genes. Vision is predominately determined by environment.

Though my lecturer could very well be talking rubbish! :p
