Is there anyway to use an iPod without iTunes yet?

Right, try doing that for 500+ albums. Sounds like lots of fun! Every other programme has the sense to check for folder.jpg files and use them automatically, why can't iTunes?
How is dragging and dropping the .jpg file in a seperate folder for each album much faster than doing the same thing in iTunes, but oh noes you have to highlight the whole album so it applys the same artwork for the whole album.
I'll happily try doing it for 500+ albums, however I'd never have to suddenly setup 500 albums in one go and also all my artwork gets binded to the tag of the file which is a lot better than having the .jpg in a folder with the files.
THE WORLD IS OVER ITUNES YOU SUCK!

is there a way of just syncing the albums and videos that are new in your library with out having to do the whole library ( if that makes sense )

Because that's how it already exists on my (and many other people's computers)??

I don't think you quite understand what i'm saying, i'm not saying i'm going to go and create 500+ folder.jpg files, i'm saying that's what I *already have* and iTunes won't work with what i've got it wants me to start again from scratch, when no other music player (Winamp, WMP, Foobar etc) expects you to.

I thought I would pop in and say I love iTunes :D.

Not botherd about my album artwork as long as I can click artists and play my music its all good, but with a sound booster hack though to get through the stupid europe sound limit, they thing we carnt handle loud music  .

One thing I would like to do is to be able to put files on my ipod, images, word files all stuff from college and just plug in with the USB, would save me burning loads of CD's, anything out their that allows me to do that?

I've not used it with a video iPod but I use MediaMonkey with pretty much all the MP3 players I've had and have including iPods.

That said iTunes isn't that bad, most people don't learn to use it properly. But its far from perfect.

Just use Itunes art importer, you could probably get them all done in a night. I found that it found around 95% of all the albums I had, and for the ones it doens't if you already have the .jpg then it won't take you much longer to add those ones manually.
