Is there going to be a bigger ipod soon ?

160GB is the biggest 1.8" HDD AFAIK, So unless someone brings out a larger version obviously Apple cannot bring out a larger capacity model.

Ah i didnt realise it was a hdd, thought it might have been ssd. they could fit two 160's and make it fatter then ?

I'd just like an ipod that i can get all my music on at once.

It's a possibility but i don't think they would do that.

It would generate more heat, be almost twice as thick and eat allot more battery power.

Just over 160 gig of music which doesnt fit on the ipod as it only has 150 gig of actual storage. Its a real pain sync'ing it when it doesnt all fit.

Do you have over 160Gb of music?!

It's not that uncommon, some people like having their music in lossless format (hell, I have a friend who has his entire CD collection as wav files for quality purposes). If you've got much of that you'll be past 160GB easily and it's a pain keeping two copies of everything...

Well I'm thinking of getting a new iPod Classic soon so now is the time I check out any rumours of new iPods to see if I should hang on a bit.

Good point about 160Gb being max possible capacity. No way will Apple bundle two back to back, the iPod is known for being slim so this won't happen.

They could use SSD but seeing as 64Gb ones etc cost £500+ that won't happen for ages unless Apple can get a brilliant deal.
