Is there such a thing as a hardware JBOD controller

Hi

I have a couple of MSI MegaRAID hardware RAID controllers, which don't allow for standalone JBOD drives.

Is there such a controller card that manages the JBOD drives iteself, i.e. a hardware controller.

I've seen some very cheap controller cards which allow for JBOD, but are they any good?
