Is this a balanced build?

Hello guys

What do you think of this build for a gaming PC? I have an old 1080p monitor and MS keyboard and mouse which I will upgrade at a later date.

I will need to have OCUK build it for me, hence the OS.

Was going for a white build, but now I'm looking to build inside the new all white Fractal Design 7. I'm not that fussed about RGB, if it's there, fine, but I'll not lose sleep if it isn't.

Thanks

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,345.68 (includes shipping: £15.90)

nice pricing along + Freesync screens are cheaper if you havent got a gaming one- i.e over 60hz . 1440p 144hz can be had from £250 onwards

msi carbon has wifi over Tomahawk and slightly better PWM/Phase design. Would stick to 3200hz ram kit if its cheaper. not X570 board , so not sure how plug and play it is

*** just download windows ISO and buy CD Key

Looks nice, personally I can't stand spinning rust so I'd probably just do without the 2TB drive entirely, and add 1TB SSDs later if I needed more storage, or another NVME drive. Depends on what your needs are.

Good advice in the other post too I guess - you could knock a few quid off the bill for the case and go up one level on the GFX card, doubt you'd regret it, but choice of case is very personal of course :)

Thanks for the replies.

@orbitalwalsh thanks for the tip about the Corsair PSU. Will swap to that!

Yes, choice of case is subjective. As I mentioned I was originally trying to get a mostly white build, but now I'm thinking of getting a pc built into this all white Fractal case.

I already have a white Xbox One S, a white tablet and a white ipod. so....!!!

If there is a cheaper all white case, then I might be able to swap to a better GPU.

To max out gaming performance I would go for a Ryzen 3600 instead and dump the rest of the money into a better GPU. The 3700x is only 5% better in single core performance and the extra cores will only be noticable in specialised workloads.

I always try to max price/performance so would go for a cheaper mobo, 3200mhz ram and ditch the hard drive (as well as getting the Corsair PSU above).

I would consider putting the savings towards a better monitor. High refresh rate or 4k screens make a big difference depending which you prefer.

You already have decent choice in components, this is just how I would do it (Y)
