Some debate going on on an Aberdeen FC forum I post on and I thought I'd get a neutral point of view.

In my opinion, he's moving at such pace he has to leap over the defenders leg to avoid potential injury. The defender is late and clumsy, and although it looks like Pawlett makes a meal of it, it's a clear cut penalty.

Any views?

Dive, in fact it's so bad it's like one of those comedy dives.

He should be on the snickers advert.

10.0 10.0 10.0 10.0 10.0

Dive of Epic proportion leading to a penalty, As far as Dives go it's an easy 10.0

Never knew that Tom Daley had moved to Scotland.

In all seriousness, refs have generally gone too far with diving - something is now either a dive or a foul, and they seem unable to understand that players may occasionally just lose their balance.

But in this instance it's a blatant dive.

That's the general opinion. Makes it all the sweeter that it caused that *insert random insult* John Brown to get relegated.

Great days work Pedro.

It's a dive but incidents like this are given as penalties all the time.

This day and age defenders get the blame for giving strikers the opportunity to simulate.

Dive.

edit:

watching it a few more times, it is an absolutely awful dive.
