Is this a good deal? And is it possible to duplicate a PC so that everything is the same as I will be based in two countries.

I'm looking to move my old pc to Thailand where I will reside 3 months a year. And purchase this PC here where I will spend most of my time.

Despite the RAM and Small SSD this seems like decent value for a AMD ryzen 7 processor and a 4070 GPU. Haven't been in the loop much so not 100% sure how this stacks up to other builds.

I have a 1TB M2 on my current set up but its not gen4, thinking of swapping it with the 512 TB as I won't be gaming much in Thailand. Does gen4 make a whole lot of diff in terms of performance?

RAM I can add later I guess

What do you all think?

The other thing is how do I go about duplicating all my files, settings, applications, browser extensions and passwords? I have many different chrome profiles and extensions and do not wish to spend several days setting everything up.

Just put the below together for another thread... I mean, it's prebuilt but legion saying £800 off, and uses a 512gb ssd with 16gb ddr5 5600 ram? so £800 off of pure profit as before wasn't worth it to begin with... Admittedly it has a 7700 processor, rather than a 7600 below, but below has 32gb 6000c30 ram, and a 2tb fast gen 4 ssd, as well as prob a better mobo, and a 10yrs warranty 850w power supply, and a decent 7800xt gpu, and a nicer case. with tweaking, could get a 7700 in there instead, maybe loose rgb ram for non rgb, drop to a pulse 7800xt rather than nitro+ version, cheaper case etc, and get a 7700 in there, and it'd still be better than the legion..just requires you to build it, which shouldn't take too long...bit more fun too
7700 is £100 more than the 7600 but if paying £300, I'd rather pay £350 and get the 7800x3d tbh. 7600 is still a decent gaming cpu and better value than the 7700.

sure you want a prebuild?

£58 more with a 7800x3d in. using 6000c36 ram rather than c30 ram, but x3d isn't so sensitive ti timings compared to non 3d cpu's so more than good enough..could save another £10 dropping to 5600c36 ram such as in the legion( but still 32gb rather than 16gb in that), drop to sn770 2tb drive, save another £20..can actually go cheaper on a case too, though still partial to the 216 above..has 2 160mm fans in front, though non rgb...(rgb version is £109) is a well made case and looks good imo

Thanks that's very helpful, how does the 4070 compare to the 7800xt. I also noticed your build doesnt include windows and wireless lan adapter?

you can get a windows key for £20 easily enough...the motherboard has wifi 6 on it. The 7800xt is 6% faster at 1440p, 9% faster at 4k than the 4070 in rasta perfomance according to hardware unboxed, behind in raytracing. nvidia has dlss also which is slightly better than fsr, but then 7800xt is cheaper, though seen 4070 gigabyte eagle on black fri at £550...though they dropped the asus 4070 to £530 just after 7800xt launch day to better compete against the 7800xt, so £550 hardly anything to right home about.

the 4000d is another very well made case, on black fri sale at mo for £70...you can always add more fans at a later stage if you want, but a really clean looking case...can take 240mm aio whereas the 216 can take a 360mm in top..and so a longer gpu, if you ever upgrade in future(216 was redesign of the 215 so as to be able to fit a 4090)...you'd also have to get a cpu air cooler i think, which hadn't included..that'll be £30 for something like the peerless assassin. ive got a acrtic a35 argb on my 7800x3d, and it runs silent as an alternative

As someone doing similar since Sept last year; why not a gaming laptop? Can get pretty decent 4070 one for that budget with 3 years warranty.
Am in same boat myself tbh, though I'm more permanently abroad. Thought about the laptop route, but in the end coming back from work to empty apartment with wife and kids at home in uk, went full pc...it wasn't like it was moving, and dedicated gpu's are still more powerful than their mobile equivalent(for the price)..plus they're upgradeable. But good shout too

I have no input on this but I would remove the competitor link from your original post before a mod seems it.

You cannot link to competitor sites if OCUK sell the similar on their site.

You can list the specs but not the link to their site.

true, but ocuk don't sell it as a pc, so is it competion? was my view...but get your thinking..thought they only sold laptops from seller..never actually looked at prebuild they might actually sell though tbh
