Is this a graphics error? (BSOD Garbled)

Mates PC been having a bit of trouble, random crashes etc pauses. It will go days at a time until he gets a problem. He got this bluescreen whilst playing WoW recently. What I'd like to know is the garbling of the text indicative of a video card issue?

Incidentally, it's an X800 in a 2-3 year old rig.

i got similar blue screening before, forced me to use vista, never happened since it did that, then it got worse and wouldn't actually boot into desktop, go to 'welcome' and rebooted

So you upgraded to vista and the problem went away?

Did you experience any random crashes? (System hangs, image stay on screen.)

Did you experience slowness in booting occasionally?
