Is this a lot better than this...

i doubt you'd notice much real difference in practice really, you should be fine. both are very similar at a panel level
 
I've got the asus one, I can't compare it to the samsung due to not having one, but I must say it's a brilliant panel.

No ghosting, the colours are really vibrant and I was pleasantly surprised cos I've found that usually matt screens tend to wash out colours and seem quite dull.

As a cheaper 19" monitor, it's great for the money.
 
Doesn't it depend if your a gamer or not?

Isn't this the same old Samsung 226BW versus all other 22" screens for £50 less?

What I mean is the Samsung 931BW is a 2ms panel and the Asus VW193S is a 5ms panel so ghosting will be less with the Samsung.

I'm one of those who believe the Samsung isn't worth the extra money but there are plenty of people who disagree with me. Take a look at other threads on here with how many people choose the Samsung 226BW.

It really comes down to ghosting and how much that bothers you or is noticable to you as it differs from person to person
 
mind you at the moment im playing games on a cheap 17" non-widescreen so anything will be better than this.
