Is this a low x1800xt performance?

Hi just ran a x1800xt 3dmark05 first time scored 7800, my cpu is at 2.4ghz venice 3200 - am I right in thinking this is a low score?
All clocks are stock on the gpu, I got the exact same score with a 7800gtx and i've been told a x1800xt is a little faster.

hmm, I suppose it is the cpu holding it back, its a shame because my ram is mixed and wont allow me to go higher than 250 htt even when using a divider.

Well what can I say but wow, didnt realise how much difference 300mhz can make.
Just overclocked my cpu from 2.4 to 2.7, a 3200 venice, I nicked a couple of the 2X256 mb ram dimms of my little brothers computer so I could run at this speed, I score a whopping 8800 compared to my normal 7800, and thats just overclocking the cpu from 2.4ghz to 2.7ghz (the ram is only running at 180fsb rather than the 200fsb of the 2.4ghz).
I think everyone agrees a top cpu and ram combination would really let this card fly, this is still at stock, might need to find myself an opty and some 2gb ram.

I've got a 256mb version of the card, not 512 like all the guys saying they get over 9k at stock with cpu higher.
It is my cpu though my memory fsb is also very bad, 8800 isnt bad im sure with a opteron it would be over 9K with the cpu above 2.7.
A venice at 2.7ghz is effectively a opteron at 2.5ghz remember.

How did you guys manage to get the core so high (700 is a lot).
Have you added extra volts via the bios or something?
I just ran ATI tool asking it to find max core, it tops out at 637.20 which is kinda low?

Guys dont ruin my thread please.
Anyways what volts are the rest of you running your x1800xt's at to get those high core clocks?
at default I only manager 637 and thats the core at 1.275? Would it be safe do you reckon to crank the core voltage upto 1.35v?
What would I need to be looking out for temp wise, the resistors going too hot/core running too hot?

Are you sure, according to ATI tool this card only runs at 1.275, I've upped it to 1.35V and the cores reached 672.30.

How do I know what is 3dmode/2dmode?

On ATI Tool it only has on set of core/memory settings and doesnt say whether its 2d or 3d.

i didnt see any reference to the amount of ram in your post :p

Thats on first page, thats why I said read up.

I'm nearly hitting 10K now, would defiently hit 10k if my cpu was at 2.7ghz, running at 2.4 until I get better ram, I reckon I can hit 10K with cpu at 2.4ghz but would need to run gpu at 1.5v
