Is this a low x1800xt performance?

Hi just ran a x1800xt 3dmark05 first time scored 7800, my cpu is at 2.4ghz venice 3200 - am I right in thinking this is a low score?
All clocks are stock on the gpu, I got the exact same score with a 7800gtx and i've been told a x1800xt is a little faster.

Looks low, but cant say i know what is should get with that cpu for sure. But you can know for sure by checking it on the place you have just uploaded it to?!

X1800XT 512mb should get you 8500 3d05 marks at the low end and 9500 at the high end (all at stock speeds) the 256mb shouldnt be that much behind it.

My X1800XT 256MB does 9k3 at stock with 2.8Ghz Opty 146. I think your CPU is holding your back

I get 7800 with my x1800xt 256mb cpu is AMD 3700 @ 2200. 2GB Ram.

I think that is quite low ? I take it my CPU is holding me down.

It's bottleneck from the CPU. I have been getting much better performance with mine since boosting it from stock 3400+ to 3700+ speeds. I think 3700+ is the minimum for 7800/X1800 series graphics cards, and even higher for 7900/X1900 series graphics cards.

Seems low, my mildly overclocked X850XTPE is touching 7300 in 05 lol

hmm, I suppose it is the cpu holding it back, its a shame because my ram is mixed and wont allow me to go higher than 250 htt even when using a divider.

Well what can I say but wow, didnt realise how much difference 300mhz can make.
Just overclocked my cpu from 2.4 to 2.7, a 3200 venice, I nicked a couple of the 2X256 mb ram dimms of my little brothers computer so I could run at this speed, I score a whopping 8800 compared to my normal 7800, and thats just overclocking the cpu from 2.4ghz to 2.7ghz (the ram is only running at 180fsb rather than the 200fsb of the 2.4ghz).
I think everyone agrees a top cpu and ram combination would really let this card fly, this is still at stock, might need to find myself an opty and some 2gb ram.

Yeah a very slight overclock of the CPU will see a big jump in the score, i get 8.5k with a 512mb X1800 XT and an A64 3500+ all at stock.

Still seems a tad low though to be fair, considering the cpu is a t 2.7ghz. I'm getting 9099 on a stock X1800Xt 512 with an A64 [email protected]

its not your cpu...

at least not completely. i run a venice 3000+ at 2.4Ghz and i get 9.2K 3d05 marks with my X1800XT 512mb...

If I remember correctly, the 3000+ Venice is 1.8GHz at stock. Overclocking it to 2.4GHz is going to make it a silly amount faster, probably faster than my 3400+ at 2.6GHz. :confused:

It is the CPU if you overclock yours to 2.4ghz and get over 9k. :confused:

If i overclocked mine a bit i could easily get over 9k, if all ive done is overclocked my CPU then well it has to be that.
