I'm really not sure about this one, but basically I have this strange problem with one of my hard drives in my PC, when using my PC for say a few hours one of them will just cut out on me, with no ill effects to the PC's operation.
If I need to access that drive again then it will spinback into life and carry on as normal. Now as I'm running Vista I'm assuming this is something that Vista does to perhaps conserve power usage ??
If not then it's possibly a dieing hard drive ? And if it is just randomly dropping out then that would explain why XP crashes out on me @ random.
If it is impending failure I'm going to order a 500 gig WD Drive. Thankfully the drive in question is empty.
Oh yeah hard drive is a Maxtor DM10 160 gig Sata 2 *puts on flame proof vest*
